Stone fruit, and floral notes fill the mouth but the milk sugars do a good job of keeping it really smooth. Taste: Total hop forward ipa that nails the essence of mosaic hops. 2 finger off white head and great lacing all the way down the glass with a sliver of that head remaining all the way.Īroma: oh my, sweet mosaic hops fill your nostrils, all hops smell fills the nose and your mouth instantly begins to water Look: Hazy cloudy dark orange with the solidified white pieces of milk sugar coming out at the end and settling at the bottom of the glass. I think he got a bad can that may have been old cause i read the review but not what I experienced at ALL. Ok, had to counter the only other review of this beer. I think it is their best beer yet, but I wish they would take it back to the drawing board and focus on a core set of brews. O: I am very happy that I didn't buy another can or a 4 pack at that, but if this and Rebel IPA were the only IPA on the menu I would order this. The bubbles hang out a little too long, but it still is soft and pleasant. Feels big in the mouth but too carbonated. Very dry, maybe the tea taste I get is the dryness tricking my brain.į: Good mouthfeel. Low on pine high on bitter candied fruit. I'm not blown away but I would order this out in a pinch. Maybe the milk sugar? I've never smelled milk sugar before so beats me. Funky but not like a wild farmhouse funk.

Candy, almost bubblegum and I always get tea from mosaic.maybe just me. Upon pouring I thought, "alright this looks real nice." Light amber almost orange juice like with a fluffy head that dissipated quickly. That being said I also like to drink local so I grabbed a can. Let me start off by saying I haven't had one BS beer that I have ever wanted to buy or order again. Thought it took a bit of getting used to, I enjoyed this beer and how it stood out from the other IPA's from my home state, to the point where I'd grab another brew from these guys should one come across my path in the near future. Thankfully, the alcohol took a back seat to all of the craziness that was going on with this but in the end, the odd flavors and mild creamsicle-like sweetness were enough to win me over. Some tangerine sweetness and dirty water-bong feeling rounded this out as the Mosaic hop was loud and clear in this from start to finish! Lots of 420 in the nose once this warmed up as this reminded me of something from Mendocino or the like. To be fair, there was enough dank and floral hops in the taste to give this beer an identity. Lots of dankness and tea-like spice in the nose as the Earl Grey really kicked in once I took a sip of this. The head was more than sufficient and the lacing might have been the best aspect of this beer as each ring of voluminous suds seemed to bleed down into the next. Not a bad pour to this as the beer had a dank melon hue to it with a bit of sediment floating around in the liquid. I was surprised to see how low some of the ratings were for this, but I would attribute it more to a bad can than the overall makeup of this beer. Haven't had a beer from Bolero Snort in quite some time but this one was a smooth sipper that held it's own with the more popular and higher-rated IPA's from this neck of the woods. Traded for this beer a few weeks back and got around to it on this snowy night.
